Boudoir Table Lamps
Marked
Made in Occupied Japan
a mark that can precisely date these to 1945 - 1952.

This set of 2 porcelain bedside lamps feature a lady and gentleman dressed in Colonial fashion. Each is accompanied by his and her loyal dog.
Hand painted with lovely detail

including some gold gilt highlights.
They stand atop ornate brass bases and have a gray felt covering the bottoms.
The women carries a dainty flower in her hand.

The female lamp is in good
working condition
, with original hardware.

The male lamp is in
non-working condition
. The shank is missing on the male lamp, therefore making it a handsome statuette. Of course, it could be rewired, if you wished.
The man's hand is broken off.
Original lamp shades are in aged vintage condition.

As you can see, they are
cream colored shades

trimmed with pink velvet bows.
Following WWII, this style of Lamp gained wide popularity in the United States,
