Original mid-19th century powder flask made by the American Flask & Cap Company of Waterbury, Connecticut. This beautifully preserved piece dates to approximately 1857–1870, during the Civil War era. The flask features a finely embossed leather body with a detailed hunting scene, including a rabbit, birds, and foliage—a classic motif popular with 19th-century outdoorsmen and marksmen.

The spout is made of brass and is clearly stamped “AM. FLASK & CAP CO.” It features an adjustable powder measure with graduated markings (1¼, 1½), all still visible. The spring mechanism appears intact, and the leather body is in excellent antique condition with all stitching and embossing well preserved.

Dimensions: 7.5”x3.5”

Condition: Minor wear consistent with age; no major damage or repairs.
