Japanese Kutani Ware Porcelain Thousand Faces Handled Cake Plate Platter

Lovely Japanese hand painted kutani ware handled cake plate or serving platter featuring a Thousand Faces pattern. Center wheel design in blue, yellow, green, red and black. Concentric rings with individual faces of the Immortals. Gold accents on edges and handles. About 11” diameter. Probably 1920-41. Mark unknown but crown and laurel suggests one of the offshoot companies associated with the Morimura brothers. PLEASE NOTE: a chip on the bottom foot ring (see detail). Otherwise very nice.
