Offered for sale is a not very often seen musical bear that was sold during the run of Ragtime on Broadway. The show ran from January 1990 to January 2000. It starred Brian Stokes Mitchell, Audra McDonald, Marin Mazzie, Judy Kaye and many other stars.Over the course of the 2 year run at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts here in New York, there were many limited edition items sold tocommemorate this wonderful show. This bear was one of them. It is musical and is working. It plays 'Our Children' when wound all the way which is one of the songs that Marin Mazzie sang in the show.
With the bear comes a small music box that plays Ragtime that has the original ribbon attached, and also the promotional program.
All broadway memorabilia, cast gifts, props, window cards, etc, that was part of our Father's 30+ year extensive collection was purchased at the annual BCEFA Broadway Flea Market, directly from the theater of the show or other special events.
