Sterling silver western watch

All charms and linkages are solid 925 Sterling and possibly the case itself aswell. The watch back is stainless steel over the battery. This watch has “the hallmark of an Albuquerque jewelry maker shop called Carlisle Jewelry, active in the 80s and 90s and eventually bought by non-Native jewelry manufacturer Carolyn Pollack, also of Albuquerque. Pollack of course went on to become a fairly big time manufacturer, selling on the QVC channel. Like many jewelry manufacturers in New Mexico, Carlisle Jewelry set up shop, likely hired Navajo and other Native American silversmiths to make pieces that could be sold directly to the public and to retailers. The quality is excellent, patina gorgeous, design uncommon, but we can only say it’s Southwestern, not Native American.
