50s US Army TROUSERS, FLYING HEAVY, TYPE D-1A (MIL. SPEC.: MIL-T-6283) Black Tag
These are Air Force blue D-1A nylon flight pants for heavy zones, adopted by the US Air Force during the Korean War and mainly worn by bomber and reconnaissance aircraft crew members. Originally worn as a set with the N-2A.
Comes with genuine suspenders.
* Although I have used all 20 photos and cannot capture the rust on the metal fittings and the deterioration of the leather parts, there is deterioration commensurate with the age in addition to what is shown in the photos. Even so, considering the age, there are no noticeable stains or holes in the nylon parts, and it is still in a condition that can be worn.
Pockets: 6 pockets (back/2, right thigh vertical opening/1, left thigh horizontal opening/1, right shin vertical opening/1 each)/all with dot button closures
*Note) The side zipper closures are not pockets, but are for putting your hands inside.
■ Waist: 8 buttons for attaching suspenders.
■ Hem: With knit (color: Air Force Blue)
■ Color: Both outer and inner: Air Force Blue
■ AF mark at the bottom of the decal contract label is difficult to see (due to fading due to aging), but the outline remains faintly.
Photo 4: Near the left waist, there is an AIR FORCE stencil, but it is faded.
Photo 8: Zipper open. The inside is also clean considering the age, with no noticeable stains.
Photo 10: Through pocket
Photo 16: There is a hole in the left leg rib.
Photo 17: The zippers move, but the lengths do not match (both).
Photos 18 and 19: Zippers for opening and closing the leg parts, CROWN
Photo 20: Brass zipper, CONMAR
Size notation: 38
Approx. (Waist 50, Width at Thigh 37, Rise 36, Inseam 77, Hem width 17) cm. The hem width stretches because it is ribbed.
Please note that there may be some errors as this is a layman's flat measurement.
These are used military items. There may be rust, verdigris, fraying, scratches, fading, sun damage, weaving damage, storage stains, dirt, and odors. The color may also differ from the actual item due to the photos. I will try to include any noticeable damage, but there may be some oversights. This information was researched by a layman on the internet, so there may be errors. Please purchase only if you can judge from the images and understand these points, and if you have an understanding of vintage items.
