The stock number 8415-00-782-2936 corresponds to a Vintage M65 Field Jacket, also known as the M-1965 Cold Weather Coat, in Olive Drab (OG-107). This jacket is a classic piece of military surplus known for its robust design and suitability for cold weather conditions.
The hip length M1965 cold weather coat was made from OG-107 water repellent and wind resistant cotton-nylon sateen and had a zip front closure and Velcro cuff fasteners. The two bellows type chest pockets and two lower inside hanging pockets were closed by snap fasteners and the hood was zipped into the back of the coat’s rounded collar. Like its M1951 predecessor it had both waist and hem drawstrings and could be fitted with a detachable liner.
