This beautiful jewelry tray has inlaid mirror and it’s sides are designed with intricate gold filigree geometric paneled patterning. It’s base is covered in Velvet lining and stands securely on it’s 4 rounded footings. Slight signs of wear on the velvet and a side of the filigree. (See last listing photo for details)
The mirror is exceptionally sharp and free of any scratches or oxidation. Overall in Very Good Vintage Condition.

NOTE:
Ormolu is from the French - moulu meaning
"ground/pounded gold") and it is the gilding technique of applying finely ground, high-carat gold-mercury amalgam to an object of bronze, and objects finished in this way. The mercury is driven off in a kiln, leaving behind a gold coating. The French refer to this technique as "bronze doré"; in English, it is known as "gilt bronze".
